Nobody likes to be reputed as a killer or a thief. Nobody is pleased to be a lurcher, a phony businessman, a crony capitalist, a pork-barrel monker (i.e. state-budget wheeler-dealer), as well. Every member of every criminal group - either informal like mafia or formal like the state - wishes to see himself as no less than the torch of progress, the justice deliverer and the last hope of the humankind (in poor countries – of the motherland).
